I saw Dance World's freestyle dance instructor there! ;)

Emerge was awesome! So different from other confrences. Best so far. Just a preview about the event. Dancing, music, clapping, cheerleading, drums like 'stomp', humor; you name it ! :) Will update when I get to snap more pics =P

The way you hold me tight; kissing me goodnight :)

Just a warning, this post is really R-A-N-D-o-M. Self obsessed post some might say but god just deal with it :p There is always that [x] button up at the right corner. See that red colored box? Yes, click that.

Seriously, I don't know why I put some disclaimer up there. It's my blog afterall!

Work was kind of funny today. My bosses were late, and I was already on the way so my parents decided to eat breakfast at some nearby hawker stall. I ordered char kuey teow and the guy took forever to come. Poor me, trying to fight off hunger (mmkay la, it wasn't THAT bad).

My boss rang me up and I didn't pick up. Silly me. So, while waiting for my food to be served, I checked my phone and there, it was 'one missed call'. Guessing that they have arrived, I walked to the boutique only to find, NO ONE. I stranded myself there.

Anyway, I shan't elaborate anymore about my mundane life. Let's just browse through and wish each other goodnight ;)

Bet you never set foot in this ride before. Boo-yah I see you :)

What matters is in person; inside.

Ps: Uncle David if you're reading this, I would like to know what's the update on our project. I'm quite lost at the moment. Has the e-mail been sent out? What's our current status? You have some resources for us to refer to right? This is proving to be harder than I thought! I hope you respond soon :)

See you again.

Departing was somewhat a relief and also a little reluctant. Mr. Colin did his monologue which was humorous, touching and meaningful as his way of saying 'goodbye'. He left in the midst of Alwyn giving a speech; I found it a little abrupt but he had to rush off to Genting! To play? Nooo... way off. Business :)

.
.

"Oh... my heart aches for us to depart. Seperation after such bonding; why do we have to leave?! Camp was so much fun; I got to hear stomping feets early in the morning, drink milo, hear laughter and shouts in the middle of the night, and the list goes on... "
.
.
.

"WE shall stay! I insist! That is but a dream. Maybe, maybe one day..."
[I'm not making fun of Mr.Colin. Just so happens that the pics I took of him were as above. I hope you don't mind if you're reading this!]

If you can find this place without asking or a map, gosh you're awesome.

Some pictures were really, really dark. It's like looking into a picture with humans wearing hoods. Shadows in the darkness. How much darker could it get?! So they weren't posted. Conclusion; YWC camp was more than what I had imagined and it's so far the most unique camp I've been to. Inspiring, intriguing, serenading, peaceful, challenging, fun, motivating, you name it.

It was just different.

It was the first time I sat in for a Writer's Slam and it was all worth the butterflies in stomach, cold sweating, sitting on the cold floor hunched up and bugs invading the floor. I was humbled by this camp and it has made me think more of the world that surrounds us.

For example, a blog isn't just a blog. It is a voice that reaches out to the community. It could change the mindsets of people, change the society, change the future. If there is something you are unhappy about today, start voicing out because you never know who might be reading your blog. Look at Nelson Mandela, he made change on his own expense. 27 years in jail is a long time. Even longer, if you are innocent.

I don't regret and that's all that matters.

Just for you.

The crocodile game.
1) You press it's teeth.
2) If it doesn't bite you, you're not 'it'.
3) If it does, too bad you got to eat some chocolate cake. (as pic displayed)

I actually had fun. Suprise, suprise.

xoxo, that's it for now. Enjoy the show buzz :)

Freedom.

Team Decepticons.
Gosh, this was probably the most difficult task for me to do, during the camp. (Lo' and behold J.Eu crowning himself)

I have a confession to make. During Colin's session, I got so restless I started doodling on my journal. I needed something that could substitute the absence of coffee la!

I'm lack of words describing the events that happened during YWC. Maybe I'll edit posts later on or something. Recent news footage of God's Warriors have caught my eye, though I'm having some trouble understanding them fully because my foundation on religions or political issues are really shallow. It's time that I take an interest in current affairs around the world.

Well, too tired now. Tomorrow's the last day to train up for the marathon on Sun :) Days passed so quickly; I can only imagine what happens next week.

There and back.

As whoever reads my blog knows, I attended the Young Writer's Camp. A 4 days 3 nights camp which was held in Bkt. Tinggi; Gracehill Lodge.

Let me give you an insight of what I thought the camp 'would' be before I even boarded the bus. (yeah, yeah here comes the negative thoughts)

I didn't expect to blend, to be noisy, talkative, participate with a positive mind, or even survive the campsite. I would forget to bring something (which I did) and complain a lot during the entire process of the camp.

But guess what? It happened otherwise. Well, except for forgetting to bring an exert, soap, extra jeans and my toothpaste. Yes, I brushed my teeth everyday using someone elses' toothpaste.

I don't think one post would summarize the entire camp experience so I'll break it down to 3 parts.

To tell you the truth throughout the camp, I felt like the odd one in the crowd of 30 + people. Everyone was fluent in speaking English, intelligent, outstandingly creative, humorous, profound in general knowledge and political issues and their writing skills are impressive. I couldn't help but feel a certain level of intimidation and challenge. Luckily for me, they were all very friendly people; approachable.

Having slept only for 5 hours or so (yes, I was excited), I felt drowsy for the first day of camp. I tried my best to keep awake and thankfully somehow I did. In my head, the way I imagined how Gracehill Lodge would look like dissolved into nothing when I reached my destination. It was more than I expected it to be compared to the other camps I've been to. Well, except that our dorms wasn't all that cooling during daytime.
.
.
.

The bus stopped at an open land; a little muddy, rocky and steep. We had to walk deeper into some urban area. Anyway, enough with all the descriptions. This is how Gracehill Lodge looked like, well, partially.

The "courtyard" leading to the dorms on the left and our dining/kitchen area which we bypass to get to it.

Lazed around for 15 minutes or so, you get pics of my legs. Half of it.

See that other platform across? It's 8ft high and the pool's deep end is 8ft deep. Try getting yourself up there and getting pushed off the platform. Refreshing, I would say. Not to mention lots of river water will be heading up your nostrils. Thanks a lot Brudda Ken :p
